Google Extensions: I approve of this

Posted in internet news by Fated Blue on January 30, 2010

So I’m a Chrome user. I’ve tested Chrome on pretty much every site I visit. It had it’s occasional glitches, bugs, crashes, but they weren’t enough to keep me from using the fastest browser out there.

Now with Opera and Firefox doing all that upgrading thing that they often do after every 5 months or so, Chrome did something else: it added extensions.

Now these extensions are similar to Firefox’s greasemonkey at first usage but it’s a whole new level entirely. The following pictures will give you an idea on what to look out for the extensions Google Chrome has in store for us.

Here are a few examples of what I’m currently using. Click the images for a larger size.

You start by pointing your mouse down there

Choose from hundreds of extensions ranging from Top Rated to Recently Added

So easy to access Facebook now

Sharing made easier

Google let's you see what the site looks like before you click

Tweeting made easy.

Alerts as tweets arrive and it closes a few seconds later without the mouse hovering over it

Tired of tinyurl? use Chrome's own URL shortener

These are only a few of the extensions that may prove useful to you. So switch to Chrome now and try these new features! I’m enjoying it!
