The 9th Soul

To Mr. B’s Former Master: Don’t worry, your dog is in good hands.

Posted in life by Fated Blue on August 29, 2011

Your former master must really love you so much. You were, and are, still a lucky pup.

I love dogs. Everyone who’s been reading this blog knows that. And today, I want to share something I came across over the net. It’s about this poor dog who wound up at some guy’s house wearing a collar with a note inside. Here’s the link to the story and a few quotables below:

He found a red, bone-shaped container attached to the dog’s collar. On the container was the hand-scrawled word, “OPEN.” So he did.

Inside he found a note and some money. The note, hand-written on lined yellow paper, read:

Please take care of Mr. B. He is a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. Six years old. My parents got divorced and Mr. B was supposed to go to the pound. I think he has a better chance with you.  This is my birthday money for any of his care. He is used to kids, not other dogs.  He’s a good boy.  I know God will take care of Mr. B – Everyone loves him…especially me. Thank you.”

Awww…It must’ve been really tough to be the kid who had to let go of his or her pet best friend. If only parents knew the kind of gravity children experience when they’re fighting or if they get a divorce.

To his former master, you did good. I applaud you and your very kind effort. Anima9 salutes you 🙂
