Anima9 mourns the death of Paul Walker
I saw this news on Facebook and I couldn’t believe it. I thought it was a hoax, I thought it was just one of those actors we all joke about dying. To my sad surprise, it was true. CNN reports:
Speed was a factor in the crash, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office said.
The wreck took place about 3:30 p.m. (6:30 p.m. ET), about 300 yards from the office park where the event was held. The speed limit there is 45 mph.
Up and down the road near the crash site were burned rubber and doughnut marks as though someone smoked their tires in figure 8 patterns.
“I don’t know if the marks in the road are related to the crash,” said Los Angeles County sheriff’s Sgt. Brian Allen.
Deputies arrived at the scene to find a vehicle on fire, he said
Once fire crews put the flames out, they found two occupants, both of whom were pronounced dead at the scene.
I can’t believe this news. It was too sudden. His fame was just starting to get big and he crashes. The irony of his death cannot be overlooked. He was famous for his partnership with Vin Diesel in the “Fast” movies with his badass style of acting and driving. This served as a reminder that even the best racers, whether in the real world or in the movies, in his case both, are still prone to accidents. And just like that he’s become another Heath Ledger.
I hope you find a good racetrack in heaven Mr. Paul Walker. Literally Godspeed to you.
Rest in peace.
