Game of Thrones Epilogue: Sandor Clegane and Sansa Stark

Posted in entertainment, Special posts by Fated Blue on May 23, 2019

(So Game of Thrones finally concluded. I’ve got a lot to say about it, but I am at least satisfied with how they did the third part of the episode especially since it involved Sansa being Queen in the North. However, I think they did Sandor wrong by just killing him with his brother. I’m a SanSan fanatic by the way, so understand where my bias is coming from.

With that said, I imagined a short story of how Sandor survived Kingslanding and became Sansa’s Lord Commander of the Queensguard. Brienne is no longer guarding Sansa, so it would make sense for the Hound to become her personal bodyguard.

This epilogue also serves to tell us the purpose of Arya’s white horse. I mean, what the hell was that for, right?

Leave your comments below and tell me what you think. I’m by no means a storyteller or a fan fiction artist. I just like SanSan.)

Thoughts about the MCU after Infinity Wars

Posted in entertainment, Random, Special posts by Fated Blue on May 3, 2018

Watched one of Pewd’s recent videos and he made a commentary on the MCU.

Pewds said it’s unbelievable that after almost 20 films, people are still getting excited over a new movie or a new character reveal. It’s unbelievable how people don’t notice that almost every movie is just a reskin of the previous ones. He is also frustrated how it affects the number of films he could watch during its screening, with almost every cinema showing just one movie for two weeks, forcing “other” fans to wait for the Blu Ray release of these other films.

And I agree.

Movie Review: Justice League (2017) – They Should’ve Kept The BEARD!

Posted in entertainment by Fated Blue on November 20, 2017

Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, Suicide SquadWonder Woman, now we have the fifth installment in the current DCEU in Justice League.

Gotta be honest with you, I completely shut off everything about the film. Trailers, interviews, ads, early reviews, EVERYTHING. I didn’t want to be spoiled, I didn’t want to expect anything except a superhero movie with Batman and Wonder Woman in it.

And I got it.

Book Review: Firebird Trilogy by Claudia Gray

Posted in entertainment by Fated Blue on November 19, 2017

Cover Firebird Trilogy

It took me months to get to and finish both Ten Thousand Skies Above You and A Million World With You (Firebird #2 and #3 respectively) because me trying to balance both being a freelance writer and gamer just didn’t leave a lot of time for book reading (much to my shame).

Anyway, I will keep this review as brief and spoiler-free as possible. If you want a quick summary, I’m definitely recommending the trilogy to Sci-Fi fans who don’t mind cheesy romance. I like romance and all, but sometimes it gets too cheesy and if it wasn’t for Claudia Gray’s style of writing – simple but not lazy – I would’ve quit on this series.

And oh yeah, praise the cover designer or illustrator of the series! One of the most eye-candy books I’ve ever owned!

Movie Review: Wonder Woman 2017 – “Best DC Film Since Nolan’s Dark Knight”

Posted in entertainment by Fated Blue on June 3, 2017

wonder_woman_xlg“I can save today, you can save the world”

I watched this film as soon as the nearest theatre allowed me to watch it and I loved it.

I’ve been hyped since Batman V Superman and right now I’m telling you: Wonder Woman is the best DC film since Nolan’s Dark Knight.

Right now I’m giving it a solid 9.5/10.

9.5 out of 10 is the highest grade I’ve given any DC film since Nolan’s Dark Knight.

For the current DCEU movies, I gave MoS a 6, I didn’t think BvS was crap so I gave it a 7, and Suicide Squad, 5.

Movie Review: LOGAN (2017)

Posted in entertainment by Fated Blue on March 12, 2017

744742.jpgI am going to say this right now. If you haven’t seen this film yet, make it a point to see it after reading this post. Not just because it’s the last film of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine but because of how incredible the whole movie was.

Book Review: Library of Souls (Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children #3)

Posted in entertainment by Fated Blue on October 10, 2016

Library of Souls(This is a late post as I’ve finished the book since September first week)

(Click the links for my reviews on books 1 and 2)

The thing I like about Ransom Riggs’ Peculiar series is how he manages to introduce a familiar story without making the reader liken it too much to something else. While his series received multiple praises and even got commended for being “the next Harry Potter”, you can’t help but be thankful for the author’s original take on what a peculiar gang of kids would do if they had weird powers.

I liked books 1 and 2 so it went without saying my expectations from the last of the trilogy would be pretty high. I now realize I expected a little too much.
