Pro Duterte Surveys Are Paid By Your Taxes

Posted in politics by Fated Blue on April 8, 2021

Don’t believe every survey that says the admin has earned a high approval rating.

The recent one by Publicus Asia was so sus, I had to look the entire company up. It didn’t take me 5 minutes to find out the owner, Ma. Lourdes Tiquia, is a DDS who has defended each of the president’s actions and speeches c/o Manila Times. It should also be noted that The Manila Times is, at the very least, anti-Yellow with many of their authors vouching for Marcos and Duterte. She was once Binay’s PR aide, but switched coats when PRRD won in 2016.

Lourdes established Publicus as a “survey firm” but really, it’s just a PR company for Duterte. Their surveys were probably scripted at the very least, asking only those who are loyal if they asked anyone at all. So yeah, don’t let the surveys make you think who the real governing parties are.

Opinion: (Pro) Duterte’s 2022 campaign

Posted in politics, Random, Special posts by Fated Blue on February 10, 2020

I’ve been keeping tabs on local news pages, as well groups with political themes and topics. There are still many supporters, but the promise of another pro Duterte presidency grows weaker everyday.

Local news channel TV5 has always been in full support of the admin since the elections, yet it’s slowly changed sides after Ferdinand Marcos was buried as a hero. Now, the news page has become as anti as it could be.

Even their usual pro Duterte followers have shown signs of dissent. Their daily news about what the president says or does are no longer dominated with hearts and smiling faces, but of anger and tears.

TV5 still hates Leni, though, so you can applaud their consistency at least.

There have also been a steady rise of anti-admin pages lately, or perhaps I’m only exposed to them because my friends are mostly anti (or become one).

I am sorry for my #JusticeForKian posts.

At this point, I’m sure the lot of you have grown weary with the barrage of EJK-relate posts surfacing and resurfacing over and over again. You probably feel like hiding or unfollowing people who share posts related or in response to Kian’s unfortunate demise. Even religious institutions had a page of obviously-political-and-biased words to say about that.

Rainy week: Flooding at the gates due to Maring and Monsoon Rains

Posted in life, weather by Fated Blue on August 20, 2013

You know how everything gets fucked up by the rain? Well, the country’s being plagued by one right now and this is achingly similar to Ondoy. It’s actually very scary. People all over Facebook and Twitter have been stating how everywhere is flooded and all that. It’s crazy that even where I am, where flooding isn’t really usual, the water’s actually just reached the garage floors. It even leveled with the sidewalk now. I can only imagine what it’s like for others specially those who have no homes or bad sewage systems.

Philippines Named ‘Most Stupid Country to Elect a 20-Year OJT as a Senator’ by Time Magazine

Philippines Named ‘Most Stupid Country to Elect a 20-Year OJT as a Senator’ by Time Magazine.

Ugh. Just read the whole story. It’s a shame the country voted someone knowing she hasn’t the experience. The only good thing that will come out of this is that she’ll be forced to actually exceed what is expected of her. And what is expected of her but to fail the senate game.

Musical Review: YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN (Philippines)

Posted in entertainment, life by Fated Blue on March 3, 2012

I loved watching this. The cast was awesome. Click on the images to enlarge.

So people have been wondering how I knew this play was being shown here in the country. Here’s the truth: I didn’t. In fact, I did something a bit seedy and quite intrusive for me to know this little info but it was worth it. I simply needed to see this to prove something and I enjoyed it. It was actually my first time watching a play at the RCBC Plaza in Makati. I like the building and how it was a good place for a little time-wasting.

In a nutshell, I didn’t expect anything from this play at all. I barely knew the theatrical side of the Philippines and I barely had knowledge of the Snoopy-verse save for the character’s names. Heck, up until now, I even thought the whole “Peanuts” franchise was focused on Snoopy. Oh, how ignorant was I?

This review is written by someone who cannot be biased in any way due to the reasons mentioned above. For any objections, kindly write at the comment box and I’d gladly refute you…as a form of courtesy.

Book Review: Lumayo Ka Nga Sa Akin by Bob Ong

Posted in entertainment, life by Fated Blue on January 1, 2012

Bob Ong's latest novel

Let’s start the year right: HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU! I went out early this morning (0520) for a good round of jogging. It’s funny because I’m pretty sure the fireworks and all the banging kept me up until 0100 but my body still managed to wake up 20 minutes before the alarm went off (0420).

I guess my Circadian Rhythm never fails to be consistent with regards to having just enough sleep which usually ranges from 6-7 hours.

Now on with the review. In this article, I’ll be talking about the Filipino pop culture favorite’s new book.
