Google Chrome, Day 2

Slashdot

Seems that almost every story submitted to Slashdot last night in some way involved Google’s Chrome that we started talking about yesterday. Dotan Cohen noted that according to Clicky Chrome has hit 3% browser share. Since Google has decided to release Chrome only for Windows, I now share for you 3 reviews written by others: the first comes from alexy2k, the second from mildsiete, and the third from oli4uk. They all seem to feature various opinions and charts and screenshots demonstrating various exciting points.

==================================
Writer’s note: I’m using Google’s Chrome right now. it lacks some features I got used to in other browsers such as opera’s shift+click and it opens a link from the URL bar to a new tab. it also lacks the menu bars and toolbars that usual browsers have like the file, view, tools, etc. But the absence of these very essentials make it look more slick and actually SEXY to use. It’s not as heavy on memory as Firefox or Opera. I like the new features it has, specially the “most visited” function it has when you open a new tab. other notable functions are the shift+click and the ctrl+click function. Shift opens the link in a new window, while Ctrl opens the link in a new tab. One very nice function that I seemed to enjoy is the incognito mode. You can view forums as a guest even if you are logged in. It also makes sure nothing is saved in your sessions save for downloads and bookmarks. Really great for porn browsers who share a computer with the family LOL

Everything looks great on beta mode, save for the missing basic functions and stuff. REMEMBER: IT IS STILL ON BETA. Don’t fuss about bugs or sites that don’t work. My advice is that you stay with Opera or Mozilla while Google is still fixing Chrome.

    Just so you know Chrome is based on Apples Safari browser when it comes to the back end, for this reason I would be fairly surprised if it didn’t work on Macs as well as windows PCs!

    i was asking the question sarcastically >_> Google’s not the number one search engine for nothing. they’re not stupid enough to make this browser twitchy in one OS.
